Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is himself creating a situation which might force him to "leave the government" given his refusal to follow constitutional norms in pushing the Jan Lokpal Bill, Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh Lovely said today.
"Despite knowing that the move (to not obtain prior approval from the Centre) is unconstitutional, Kejriwal is trying to justify it.
"Congress will continue to support the government, but Kejriwal is creating a situation himself to leave the government," Singh told reporters here.
Referring to AAP's decision to hold a special session for passing the Bill outside the Assembly premises, Singh said that in this regard too the Kejriwal government was ignoring the rules.
He said that the House's approval was required for calling such special sessions.
"Kejriwal and AAP leaders are not only breaking rules, they have also broken all records in telling lies," Singh alleged.
Although Kejriwal had said that the government would have to bear a power subsidy bill of Rs 200 crore, his government is now bringing in a subsidy bill of Rs 372 crore, Singh said.
