Kejriwal should be called 'controversywal', says BJP

BJP today dubbed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as "controversywal", accusing him of creating controversies over the issue of posting of officials and using it as "diversionary tactic" to prepare himself to "run away" from his responsibilities.
The party also said that Kejriwal had become a little addicted to making allegations which have absolutely no truth in them, as the Delhi government led by him had nothing to show in its 100 days of being in power.
"I sometimes think that Kejriwal and controversy are made for each other. If you see Kejriwal's behaviour from the very beginning, he has been moving forward by giving birth to a controversy every day. If Kejriwal can be called controversywal, then it would not be bad," Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said.

He was speaking at #Modi365, a conclave organised by CNN IBN to mark a year of BJP government in office and was replying to a question in which AAP government's has alleged that LG and the Centre were not allowing them to work as they were trying to clean the "transfer posting industry" that has flourished in the power corridors.
"He (Kejriwal) will create a new story every day and runs away. He had started with hit and run...Level allegations against somebody and then ran away.
"By creating such controversies, he wants to run away from the responsibility he has. He wants to make controversies his shield and run away from the responsibilities given to him by the people," Naqvi said.

Attacking Kejriwal, BJP national spokesperson M J Akbar said, he had become a little addicted to making allegations which have absolutely no truth in them...These are a part of a pattern of seeking confrontation with just about everyone.

"When a politician has no options left on issues of governance, they use such diversionary tactics and one of such diversionaery tactic of Delhi government is to seek confrontation with everyone and quarrels at the drop of a comment," Akbar said.
He said the problem was that Kejriwal's 100 days are nearing and they do not have anything to show and "it has become his habit of fighting."

Delhi BJP Chief Satish Upadhayay accused him of creating controversies to leave the power.
"After coming to power, Kejriwal is acting in childish manner which shows that he cannot fulfil the promises made to the people neither today nor in the next five years and hence he is creating new controversies and preparing to leave the Government on the pretext of constitutional crisis," Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay said.
Making it a direct confrontation with the Modi government, Kejriwal has accused it of "back-stabbing" the people of the city by issuing a notification "siding" with the Lt Governor to run Delhi through "backdoor" and protect the corrupt.

Kejriwal's frontal attack on the Centre came following the gazette notification by the Home Ministry giving absolute powers to the LG in appointment of bureaucrats and clarifying that he need not "consult" the chief minister on subjects like police and public order.
Kejriwal, who has been involved in a bitter fight with Lt Governor Najeeb Jung over transfer and postings of bureaucrats, said the notification showed the nervousness of the BJP and the Centre over the anti-corruption efforts by his government.
