Terming the Railways decision to adopt dynamic surge pricing as 'exploitation of passengers', Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday demanded it's immediate withdrawal, while Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala said it is an 'anti-people' move.

"Introduction of flexi fare system will badly affect passengers from Kerala," Vijayan said in a statement.

Introduction of the new system in Rajadhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains was only the first step and later it would be extended to other trains also, he said.

It was a clear exploitation of rail passengers, Vijayan added.

Chennithala also demanded rollback of the new system. The Railways move virtually amounted to looting the people, he alleged.

"It is an anti-people decision of Railways," he said in a statement.
