Khattar bats for strengthening cooperative movement

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today made three major announcements to strengthen the 'Cooperative Movement' in the state.
The Chief Minister made these announcements at the State Cooperative Day celebrations at Kosli in this district.
The announcements included guarantee free loan up to Rs 5 lakh for women forming cooperative societies and farmers engaged in group farming of fruits, flowers and vegetables, providing subsidy up to Rs 1 lakh to them and to increase the incentive money being given to Cooperative Milk Federations for supplying the milk from April to September from Rs four per liter to Rs five per liter.

The Chief Minister also released a booklet titled 'Haryana Sehkari Prakash' in the function.
While urging members of the Cooperative Societies of the State, Manohar Lal said that there is a need to work collectively with a spirit of cooperation so as to provide employment to poor and increase the income of farmers.
Today, the land holdings are decreasing and if farmers with small land holdings would work together then the cost of cultivation will reduce and manpower could be utilized in other fields.

He said that Cooperative Movement could only succeed with the active participation of the people.
Following this vision Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched public welfare programmes like Make in India, Digital India and Skill Development, the impact of which would be visible soon.

He said that for the first time in Haryana, this
assistance was also provided to three sugar mills of private sector.
Also, approval was given to lift irrigation scheme of Rs 143 crore to redress with irrigation problems of Southern Haryana.
Fulfilling most of the demands put forth by MLA Kosli and Cooperation Minister, Bikram Singh Yadav, the Chief Minister announced 40 seats for the first session of Law College in village Bhakli, a nursing college in village Saadat Nagar and approved opening of JBT institute with 50 seats in Kosli.
He also assured to increase the number of seats if needed in future.

Regarding the demand of separate college for girls, the Chief Minister said that mapping of all areas would be carried out and colleges and educational institutions would be set up on priority basis in those areas where there is no such institution within the radius of 25 kilometers.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister made number of announcements for the development of Kosli which included upgradation of Pahlawas as Sub-Tehsil, a cattle feed plant of 50-ton capacity per day in village Jatusana, Rs 15 crore for rural development of Kosli Assembly Area, Rs 10 crore for increasing the capacity of Milk Chilling Centre and announced 25 roads of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department and several roads of Marketing Board.

He said that if people of Kosli and Bhakli resolve their issue regarding name then status of Municipality could also be given to the area.
Earlier, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly constructed building of Government College costing Rs 10 crore in Kosli.
Also, he honoured the institutions and members of cooperative societies for their commendable works in cooperative sector.
Earlier, the Union Minister of State for Defence, Rao Inderjit Singh welcomed the Chief Minister on his arrival to Ahirwal area.
