Khuntia, recently appointed the AICC in-charge for Telangana in place of party heavyweight Digvijay Singh, said Congress is sure to come to power in the state if party leaders worked with team spirit.
Speaking at a meeting of Congress' women and other cells, Khuntia said the state unit should take up agitations on the unfulfilled promises of ruling TRS, a party release quoted him as saying.
Reaffirming the leadership of PCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, he said the Congress' central leadership is happy with the functioning of state leaders.
He indicated that Congress' central leadership would take a call on alliances for the 2019 polls and Reddy would continue to lead the party in Telangana.
