An eight-year-old boy, who was kidnapped by two motorcycle-borne people while he was returning from his school, was rescued by police today, an official said.

"Laxman was rescued from the outskirts of Mehsana village which comes under the jurisdiction of Barsana police station," SSP Prabhakar Chaudhary said.

He said the kidnapper and his associates managed to flee from the spot.

The minor was kidnapped yesterday from the Krishna Colony here.
