Kochi boys too good for Guwahati

Kochi-based Nirmala College and Government Higher Secondary School got off to an impressive start on day one of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports National Football Championship here today.
In the college boys category, Nirmala College made a mockery of their opponent Arya Vidyapeeth College, Guwahati as they strolled to a 14-0 victory.
The one-sided match saw three hat-tricks being scored by the boys in yellow with Jithin M finding the net four times (45', 47', 50' & 78') while Sachin Sivan (35', 43', 57') and Abdul K (51', 52', 55') completing the other two hat-tricks.
Government Higher Secondary School too registered a convincing 6-2 victory over Guwahati's Rajdhar Bora High Secondary School in the senior boys category.
Main striker Adarsh A S sealed the fate for the opponents with a hat-trick in 37', 90' and & 93' minutes.
