Krishna, Guntur, Yanam now under Vizag passport office ambit

Krishna and Guntur districts of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam in the Union Territory of Puducherry would be under the jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam passport office from May 11.
The jurisdiction of Vizag passport office would cover the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Yanam.
Passport Officer, Vizag, NLP Choudary said the applicants from Guntur, Krishna and Yanam may choose either the Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) at Vijayawada or Vizag under Vizag Passport Office while registering on the passport portal.
The passports will be printed and issued from Vizag.
Choudary said the decision to realign the districts between Vizag and Hyderabad passport offices has been taken by the Ministry of External Affairs, following the division of Andhra Pradesh.

Passport seekers from remaining districts of AP -- Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor, Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur -- will continue to be under the ambit of PSK Tirupati under Passport Office Hyderabad.
