Delhi Smashers begin their campaign on the home turf against Pune Pistons on August 14 and the team is determined to put their best foot forward in front of their supporters.
The team was forced to replace their foreign singles player Wing Ki Wong of Hong Kong due to an injury at the ongoing World Championship in China and have picked Daren Liew of Malaysia to shoulder the responsibility.
Delhi Smashers doubles specialists Kien Keat Koo and Boon Heong Tan have already booked their berth in the men's doubles quarterfinals in Guangzhou and are one of the favourites to clinch the title.
Team CEO Kartikeya Rao said, "We at Krrish Delhi Smashers are keen to finish on the podium in the inaugural edition of the IBL and this camp should go a long way in helping us work out the right combinations and strategies.
"We have found an able replacement in Daren Liew. He is an attacking player and should do very well in this format," said the Malaysian.
