Kshatriya sworn-in as RTS Chief Commissioner

Former Chief Secretary of Maharashtra Swadheen Kshatriya was today sworn-in as the state's first Right to Services (RTS) Chief Commissioner.
Lokayukta Justice (retd) M L Tahiliani administered the oath of office to Kshatriya at Sahyadri state guest house in Mumbai.
State Chief Information Commissioner Ratnakar Gaikwad, former CIC Suresh Joshi and some of the state's top bureaucrats were present on the occasion.
Kshatriya's tenure will be of five years. He retired as Chief Secretary of Maharashtra yesterday.

with the task of overseeing delivery of various government services to the people.
On being appointed as Chief Commissioner of Right to Services, Kshatriya had earlier said that 376 government services come under the RTS Act.
"My job will be to oversee implementation of the Act while working with district collectors and divisional commissioners, and setting up a system to ensure that citizens benefit from the Act," he said.
