Lt Governor Anil Baijal today directed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to take the help of experts to scientifically revive water bodies in the national capital.
The directive came at a meeting chaired by the Lt Governor for identification and revival of water bodies across the city. It was attended by senior DDA officials.
"Held meeting with DDA officials for 'Identification & Revival of Water Bodies.' Advised them to involve experts for scientific measures," the L-G tweeted.
Last year, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had asked then Delhi water minister Kapil Mishra to prepare a blueprint to revive all water bodies in order to solve the problem of water shortage.
The chief minister had asked the then minister to sit with experts over the issue. However, the government is yet to come up with the blueprint.
