Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya will tomorrow visit Kolanapaku village in Nalgonda district, which is one of the three adopted villages by him under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY).
Dattatreya has also adopted two more villages under the SAGY in Warangal district of the state. These two villages are Sannur which has a famous lord Venkateshwara temple and another village by name Annaram Sharief that is famous for dargah.
"The minister has adopted Kolanapaku village in Nalgonda district. He will be visiting this village tomorrow in the afternoon to interact with the farmers and others and learn their felt needs and address them and make this village a model village like the other villages which he has adopted in Warangal district," a Labour Ministry statement said.
The main idea of the SAGY programme is to turn the selected Adarsh Grams as the nucleus of health, cleanliness, greenery and cordiality within the community.
In the two villages adopted earlier, village committees have been formed and a proposal for road worth 4.5 crore has been submitted to the state government. One branch of Syndicate Bank has been opened and computers have been provided to schools.
