Labourers died from toxic gas by generator: UP govt

Uttar Pradesh government today said the cause of death of three persons in Hardoi was emission of gas by a generator and not spurious liquor.
Yesterday, six labourers were found unconcious in a house in Arval area of Hardoi where electrical work was being carried out, a spokesperson of excise department said.
A small generator was running in the room where the labourers were sleeping, the spokesperson said, adding, three of them died due to gas produced by the generator and not due to spurious liquor.
