The last rites of CRPF jawan Lakshman, who was killed in a Maoist attack, were performed today in Rajasthan's Alwar district.
Nine CRPF personnel were yesterday killed after Maoists blasted their mine protected vehicle using over 50 kgs of explosives in Chhattisgarh's Sukma, about a year after a dozen jawans were killed in a similar ambush in the district.
The mortal remains of Lakshman were cremated with full state honour at Sundarwadi village, SP Alwar Rahul Prakash said.
MP Karan Singh Yadav, minister Hem Singh Bhadana, CRPF DIG Jagdish Meena and senior police officials were present in the funeral.
