The 27-year-old actress, who made her Bollywood debut with Remo D'Souza's dance-based drama "Any Body Can Dance", was recently seen in its Varun Dhawan-starrer sequel and comedy "Welcome 2 Karachi", opposite Jacky Bhagnani.
"I do get film offers but nothing is that exciting. I would want to do a non-dance film. Being a dancer, funky, cool, I think I can do a sports action film. I would also like to explore another side of me and do a romantic film," Lauren told PTI in an interview.
"I had to work really hard to reach where I am today. I struggled a lot. When I came here, I did not know the language, culture, I was clueless about everything. I learned everything. I am grateful to everyone for the love, support," she said.
"'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' made me a household name. No one knew me before that and then I became the 'ABCD girl'. Being a part of 'Jhalak...' was not the obvious step, it just happened. The makers came to me. They are like family and I know the brand has done good to me," she said.
The actress thinks contestants like "Maharana Pratap" actor Faisal Khan and Punjabi rapper Raftaar have the potential to make it to the top.
While Lauren and choreogrpaher Ganesh Hegde will share the judging panel on the show with actor Shahid Kapoor and filmmaker Karan Johar, the duo will perform the role of dance gurus, gauging the technical expertise of the contestants.
The dance extravaganza featuring 12 celebrity contestants will go on air from July 11 on Colors channel.
