Lawyer found unconscious in car dies; Cops probe rain

A 30-year-old lawyer, found unconscious in his car in suburban Sion today, died while undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
Police are investigating whether the death of the lawyer, identified only as Priyen, is anyway related to the heavy rains and subsequent flooding of streets yesterday.
"The lawyer was found unconscious in his car at 7.30 am at Gandhi Market of Sion in Central Mumbai. He was immediately taken to a hospital by the police. However, he died at around 9.30 am," a police official said.
He said though the exact reason of Priyen's death is yet to be ascertained, the police suspect it may be related to the heavy rainfall.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident a 32-year-old man drowned after he fell into the Powai lake in the early hours today.
The deceased is identified as Dilipkumar Jha, the police said, adding that he fell into the water body accidentally.
Jha's body was sent for postmortem at Rajawadi Hospital, the official said.
