Under attack from the opposition parties over the 'deteriorating' law and order situation in the state, Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi today warned police officials that any laxity in crime control at any level would not be tolerated.

The chief minister also called for performance and result in this regard from the police.
"We want results in crime control and law and order. If the situation is improving, it should reflect in the public perception also. The criminals should fear the police and the administration," Manjhi said at the meeting attended by Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, DGP P K Thakur and others.
