"Comrade Bardhan had all along fought for different sections of people like workers, daily labourers and farmers. He was successful in uniting Left parties. He also contributed to the fight against injustice in Odisha," a resolution passed in the condolence meeting here said.
Bardhan's contribution to communal harmony will never be forgotten, the resolution said adding that the country has lost a true fighter and a Leftist leader.
CPI state secretary Dibakar Nayak, deputy secretary Asish Kanungo, CPI(M) state president Alikishore Patnaik, Janardan Pati, Suresh Panigrahi, CPI (ML) Liberation's Yudhistir Mohapatra and Mahendra Parida, SUCI's Santosh Rath and Forward Bloc's Jyotiranjan Mohapatra attended the condolence meeting held at the CPI's state headquarters here.
