The day began with overcast skies, light rains and cool winds. The city received 16.2 mm of rains in last 24 hours ending at 8.30 AM while between 8.30 AM and 5.30 PM rain gauge recorded just 1.6 mm, MeT official said.
Rains were mainly reported in Ayanagar (1.6 mm), Safardarjung (1.6 mm), Lodhi Road (0.4 mm) Palam (0.5 mm).
Ridge area received traces of rains.
The showers brought the maximum and minimum temperature below normal. The maximum temperature was recorded at 29.1 degrees Celsius, four deg C below normal while minimum was 25.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal.
According to Met, the city will witness a generally cloudy sky tomorrow, with possibility of rains or thundershowers in some areas.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain 30 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
