Light to moderate rains and thundershowers occurred at isolated places over eastern Uttar Pradesh and at a few places over western UP, the MeT Department said Wednesday.
Kannauj recorded 15 cm of rainfall followed by 9 cm in Gautam Buddh Nagar, 6 cm in Bijnor, 5 cm in Hapur, 4 cm in Puranpur, 3 cm each in Thakurdwara and Bareilly and 2 cm in Rampur, it said.
On Tuesday, day temperatures were below normal in Kanpur and Jhansi divisions, and above normal in Moradabad division.
Najibabad was recorded as the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 34.6 degrees Celsius.
Rains or thundershowers are very likely at isolated places over eastern UP on September 14, according to the weather office.
The weather is most likely to remain dry in the state on September 15.
