The incident occurred last evening when three linemen went to Nizam area of Govindnagar to repair a fault in the transformer. Chotulal (50) was electrocuted after electricity supply was suddenly restored in the area, said police.
Jitendra was injured in the incident. He has been admitted to medical college where his condition is stable, they added.
The irate mob went to the office of Junior Engineer, S K Sharma and clashed with him. They later burnt his scooter parked in the vicinity. The situation was controlled after senior police officers reached the spot.
