The excise duties for Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) have been increased as per the new excise policy in the city, an official spokesman said here.
The rate of excise duty has been increased for cheap, economy and medium brands to Rs 30 per Proof Litres (PL).
Besides, for premium brands, the rate of excise duty has been increased to Rs 33 per PL and ultra premium to Rs 42 per PL, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, the rate of excise duty has been increased in semi deluxe brands to Rs 61 per PL, Deluxe Rs 107 per PL, Super Deluxe Rs 128 per PL, Ultra Deluxe Brands Rs 247 per PL Country Liquor Rs 25 per PL.
