Local residents and shopkeepers today blocked traffic on Kosli-Salhawas road here to protest the alleged apathy of health officials towards the flow of filthy water on the long stretch of route.
The locals staged their protest for nearly two hours, causing inconvenience to commuters.
The protesters said that despite making repeated requests to politicians and senior officials concerned, nothing had been done in this regard.
The blockade was lifted after Public Health Department's Executive Engineer Dalip Sheoran assured the protesters of speedy redressal of their problem.
