The Lok Janshakti Party in Meghalaya today demanded implementation of job reservation policy in the private sector due to lack of job opportunities in the government sector.
"The LJP demands reservations in private firms," LJP state president Jamil Ahmed said.
He said the party welcomes and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement on the reservation policy.
The party's motto is to work and empower the poor, Ahmed said.
Reservations should also be provided in private schools, he said.
