Acting on a tip-off, Lokayukta police raided Gurukripal Singh Sujlana's house in Tilak Nagar area.
Sujlana, who has put in 28 years of service, draws a monthly salary of Rs 22,000, Lokayukta sources said, adding that the assets were disproportionate with his known sources of income.
Police recovered documents pertaining to 12 plots, four houses, four flats, two shops and agricultural land at seven places. He also owns two SUVs and a bus.
He also has Rs 35 lakh in bank deposits and Rs 31 lakh in insurance policies.
Besides, 22 bottles of expensive foreign liquor were also recovered, for which the Excise Department registered a separate case against him.
A case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against him and detailed valuation of assets is on, police added.
