Six candidates, including two from the Congress, filed their nomination papers Thursday for four Lok Sabha constituencies in Rajasthan which go to polls in the second phase on May 6.
Congress candidates Jyoti Khandelwal (Jaipur), Sharwan Kumar (Jhunjnunu), CPI candidate Ravtaram (Sriganganagar), Independent candidates Babita Wadhwani and Virad Singla (both in Jaipur) and Ambedkarite Party of India's Ramphool Meena (Dausa) filed nominations, according to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer.
The last date for filing of nominations for the second phase of polling is April 18.
Thirteen constituencies of Tonk-Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Pali, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore, Udaipur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Kota and Jhalawar-Baran go to polls in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state on April 29.
The state has a total of 25 Lok Sabha seats and the remaining 12 will go to polls in the second phase on May 6.
