It had sold 18,469 units in the same month last year, M&M said in a statement.
Domestic tractor sales last month stood at 16,379 units, as against 17,771 units in July 2013 - down 7.83%.

M&M Chief Executive (Farm Equipment and Two Wheeler Division) Rajesh Jejurikar said: "A delay in the arrival of monsoon has led to late sowing and has impacted farmer sentiment leading to lower sales of tractors in July.
