Magisterial inquiry into May 13 encounter by UP police in Lucknow

A magisterial inquiry was Thursday ordered into a May 13 encounter in which a criminal was injured in Kakori area here, an official said here.

Sub-divisional Magistrate, Sarojini Nagar, Chandan Patel ordered the probe into the encounter in which one Shubhkaran was injured, District Magistrate Kaushalraj Sharma said.

A team of policemen and crime branch surveillance cell had claimed to have arrested Shubhkaran, who carried a reward of Rs 25,000, and his two aides following an encounter atKaliyakheda in Kakori area.
