Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) spokesman Sachin Sawant said the workshop is being organised in view of party president Sonia Gandhi's directive that Congress should effectively counter "false allegations" levelled by the opposition against it and fend off criticism.
Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari will be addressing the day-long conclave, he said, adding ministers, MPs and legislators will also attend the workshop.
Sawant said the leaders will address the meeting to analyse the prevailing political situation and discuss it with the state unit.
