"Altogether 82 per cent of state has also become free from load shedding by December last year," the Governor said in his address to the joint sitting of the Legislature on the first day of the budget session.
Mahagenco has commissioned two units of 500 MW each at Bhusawal which will produce additional 1,000 MW power for the state, he said.
Work is in full swing at Chandrapur, Koradi and Parali power projects, he said.
"A 5 MW solar project has been successfully commissioned at Chandrapur. Mahagenco is in a process to install total 150 MW solar power project at Sakri in Dhule district, which is expected to be operational this year. This will be the largest solar energy park project in Asia," he said.
