"Though it was the Madhya Pradesh government which initiated the probe, it is also true that these days a lot of discussion is going on about the matter and it is becoming sensitive. Therefore it should be probed in a proper manner," she said.
Mahajan was speaking to reporters after attending the foundation stone-laying ceremony of a railway overbridge in Juni Indore area.
"As Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has stated that the scam is being probed in depth, I am hopeful that it will be done so," she said.
About the general strike call given by the opposition Congress on July 16 on the issue, the Speaker said all parties have the right to protest in a democracy.
