Maharashtra: Meals to be served at night schools too

The night school students from class 1st to 8th in Maharashtra will also benefit from the midday meal scheme, as the Centre has approved state government's proposal to extend the scheme to these schools.
As per a press release from the Chief Minister's office here, the Centre-sponsored scheme will cover the government-run and aided night-schools.
"There was a demand from various sections. Even the Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan had made a request in this regard to the Centre," the release said.
