Three persons were today injured during stone pelting between two groups on the premises of the sessions court here, police said.
Four vehicles were also damaged in the incident, a police official said.
Shaikh Imran Shaikh Nazir alias Imran Mehndi was produced in the court, where he is being tried for alleged murder of corporator Salim Qureshi in 2012, the officer said.
According to the officer, supporters of Mehndi and Qureshi were present in the court premises.
"After the hearing, when Mehndi was being taken to the Harsul prison, some of Qureshi's supporters tried to abuse and manhandled him, following which his and Qureshi's supporters hurled stones at each other," the officer said.
Three persons sustained injuries and were admitted to a government hospital, police said, adding a probe was on.
