Major reshuffle in J&K bureaucracy, police

In a major reshuffle in state civil administration and police, Jammu and Kashmir government has transfered 35 IAS and KAS officers besides 24 IPS officers.
The State Cabinet, which met here yesterday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, ordered the transfer and posting of the officers and also promoted 4 officers to the rank of ADGP and two officers to the rank of IGP.
Shaleen Kabra, IAS was posted as Commissioner-Secretary, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports Department. Asgar Hassan Samoon IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner-Secretary to the Government, Agriculture Production Department.
It was a major reshuffle after the January 15 Cabinet expansion.
K Rajendra Kumar, ADGP, Armed, Law and Order posted as Director General, Prisons Department. Former Kashmir Police Chief S M Sahai IPS has been posted as ADGP, Armed, official spokesman said.
Shailendra Kumar, IAS, was posted as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir. Baseer Ahmad Khan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, has been transferred and posted as Director, Panchayati Raj while Ramesh Kumar Koul, IAS, as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, IAS, Director, H&P Department, be designated as Director General, Hospitality & Protocol Department, while Hirdesh Kumar, IAS, has been posted as Secretary, School Education.
Shagufta Parveen, IAS, posted as Chairman, SSB. Abdul Majid Ganai, IAS, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal.
Ajit Kumar Sahu, IAS, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Jammu. PK Pole, IAS, has been posted as Director, School Education, Jammu. M Raju, IAS, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Poonch.
