"Nothing has happened only lecture, assurances and announcements have been made. Only the negatives of the Left Front government for the past 34 years have been criticised," Mollah told PTI here.
Asked to comment on Banerjee's claim that six lakh jobs had been created in the government and private sector in the last one year, he said, "Where are the jobs? I cannot say whether anyone has got jobs from this government here, but I have certainly not heard of anyone getting jobs in my constituency."
Criticising his own party, he alleged that had top party functionaries such as Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee not been averse to holding meetings with the people at the grassroots, the party's return to Writers' Buildings would have been possible.
"Our party's big leaders are fearful of attending such meetings. Had our top leaders including Bhattacherjee held meetings in rural areas like Bagdipara, our return to Writers Building would have been easier," he said.
Mollah had earlier said the Left Front government would have returned to power if it had made efforts to return land acquired forcibly from farmers in Singur.
The CPI(M) state committee had publicly censured him after the last year's Assembly election for blaming former chief minister and former industry minister Nirupam Sen for the "faulty" industrialisation policy of the Left Front government which led to its rout.
