Attacking West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over her opposition to demonetisation, Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy today claimed that the Trinamool Congress chief is losing the support of the common man.
"There are political leaders who are losing out space as far as the common man is concerned, possibly this is creating a lot of restlessness," he said on the sidelines of a program here.
"Some people who are sitting in top positions of political parties whether it is the chief minister in Delhi or West Bengal, they are fearing that aam aadmi of this country is going with Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he said.
Asked about Rahul Gandhi's statement that he was not given a chance to speak in Parliament, the BJP leader said, "There is a seat alloted to him in Parliament and I also believe that there is a functional microphone in front of him. If he is not availing of this opportunity to speak in Parliament then God help him."
The Congress vice-president, he said, always speaks outside Parliament in front of the media and the country is waiting to hear him speak in Parliament.
"Thanks to the courtesies and directions given by the leader of West Bengal (Banerjee) they all fell in line to see that the house is not run," Rudy said, adding that the government is ready to debate the issue outside and inside Parliament.
