The accused, Manoj Kumar, was arrested over a fortnight ago. He was produced in a local court which granted him bail, a senior police officer said today.
The IAS officer, in her complaint lodged at Chanakyapuri police station here, had alleged that she was being "harassed" by the accused since 2008 when she was posted in Bihar, adding that he continued to send her "vulgar messages and offensive emails" and make "obscene calls" after she shifted to Delhi and was posted as the Secretary to Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in 2014.
Kumar too had reportedly filed a complaint against the lady IAS officer, claiming that he was her husband and accusing her of harassment, the IAS officer had stated in her police complaint.
