The incident took place on the night of May 30 in Konkangaon Khurd village in the taluka following which the accused and the family's elder son Somnath Jagannath Shelke was arrested yesterday, they said.
Somanth, in a fit of rage, after a quarrel in the family, allegedly attacked his father, mother and younger brother with an agricultural tool, leaving them dead on the spot, said inspector Kishor Navale of rural crime branch.
A murder case has been registered by Vani police station after Somnath, during interrogation, admitted to have killed Jagannath Shelke (45), Shobha Shelke (42) and brother Harshad Shelke (19), Navale added.
