Man attacked by panther in Rajasthan
Press Trust of India Alwar (Raj) In rising incidents of man-animal conflict in the district, a person was attacked by a panther near Sariska forest area here today.
"Rampratap Gurjar was attacked by a panther today," Sariska Field Director, R S Shekhawat said.
Senior police and forest officials have rushed to the area, he said.
"The incidents of panther attacks have increased in recent times. The forest department authorities have launched a massive hunt for the panther considered to be dangerous for human life," officials said.
The district has witnessed similar incidents in the past following which a panther, suspected to have been involved in attacks on villagers, was caught last month.
The officials, however, added that such attacks remained unabated.
