Man booked for raping Dalit girl

A person has been booked for allegedly raping a Dalit girl on the pretext of getting her recruited in BSF, police said here today.
Accused Paramjit Singh had promised the victim to get her a job in Border Security Force and he then took her to Ajnala in Amritsar for recruitment purpose but he allegedly raped her repeatedly there, she alleged in her complaint.
The accused had threatened her of dire consequences if she disclosed about the incident, she alleged.
Yesterday, she disclosed the incident to her family members, police said adding she was sent to civil hospital for medical examination today.
A case of rape has been lodged against Paramjit Singh who was at large, police said.
