Man dies after inhaling poisonous gas from tube well

A 25-year-old man died while his uncle was taken ill after allegedly inhaling poisonous gas emanating from a tube well at Choudhriwas village in the district.
The incident occurred last evening when Naresh Kumar went inside a tubewell to repair the electric motor installed in it. When he did not return, his uncle Pala Ram (50) also went inside the well, police said.
When both of them didn't come out, the villagers brought the duo out of the well and took them to a private hospital here where Naresh Kumar was declared dead on arrival, they said.
Pala Ram is undergoing treatment and his condition is stated to be critical, police added.
