Labourer Rameshchandra Bind, 42, was electrocuted this morning after he was trying to fetch mangoes from a tree inside premises of one Aarti Industries with help of an iron rod, assistant sub-inspector at Boisar police station B Gaurav said.
While trying to hit mangoes with the rod, it stuck the live electric wire near the tree and he received a shock, he said.
Bind died on the spot and his body was chard to a great extent, he said.
The body has been sent for post mortem and a case of accidental death was registered, police said.
