Man held for murder attempt on 2 sons

A man was arrested for allegedly attacking two of his sons with a sharp weapon in Deoghar village along NH 33 under MGM police station here today, police said.
The accused, Biram Hansdah, who was reportedly unsound mentally, attacked his two sons - Ramkrishna (5) and Bikrat(2) - with a sharp weapon and injured them critically.
They were rushed to MGM Hospital, where doctors referred them to the Tata Main Hospital.
The family members alleged that Hansdah tried to chop off the heads of his two sons. On hearing the two children's scream, family members rushed to the place to found both of them injured grievously on the neck, police said, adding that they are looking into the matter.
