Man held for possessing drugs

A man was arrested after 300 gm heroin worth Rs three crore in the international market was allegedly found in his possession, police said today.

Surendra Kumar Gupta (38) was arrested in Thothibari area on the Indo-Nepal border last evening and the drug recovered from him, Superintendent of Police, RP Singh said.

Gupta was going to Nepal from India when he was arrested, he said.

He has been booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
