A resident of Punjab was arrested and 20 kg of poppy was allegedly recovered from his possession in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir today, police said.
Acting on a tip off, police intercepted a truck at Hatli and seized 20 kg of poppy, police official said.
The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Ramzan of Malerkotla in Punjab. A case was registered against him, the official added.
