Presiding Officer Arun Bhardwaj ordered IFFCO Tokio General Insurance Company Ltd, with which the offending vehicle was insured, to pay the sum.
"Total compensation payable to the petitioner would be Rs 3,44,916...Let compensation be deposited by insurance company within 30 days," the judge said.
The tribunal's order came on a complaint by south west Delhi resident Vishnu Sharma who had claimed that he was hit by a rashly-driven motorcycle on December 15, 2010 night while crossing road near Sector 7 in Dwarka here.
Thereafter, he was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where he was found to have sustained chest injuries and multiple fractures in ribs and ankle in the accident, he said.
