Man killed in scrap blast in Bikaner

One person was killed and another got injured in a scrap blast today on a highway in Bikaner, police said.
The blast took place at about 10 AM this morning in an ammunition scrap at a junk yard on Jaisalmer-Barmer highway.
The mishap occurred when labourers employed at a motor company were boiling water for bathing, near the ammunition scrap, Superintendent of Police Bikaner Santosh Chalke said, adding an old bomb might have exploded due to heat.
The victim was identified as 21-year-old Brijesh of Azamgarh, he said, adding injured Dheeraj was rushed to a private hospital in the city.
