A court here today sentenced a 35-year-old man to be hanged to death for killing a six-year-old boy in Amariya township last year.
Additional Sessions/Special Sessions judge Sanjiv Kumar Shukla awarded the death sentence to Nazim Mian for brutally killing Mohd Musahib on February 21, 2017, government counsel Qazi Rifakat Hussain Farhan said.
The convict had brutally chopped off the victim's body into pieces and was caught eating the flesh of boy, the government counsel said.
Because of the brutality of the killing, the local lawyers had refused to provide legal aid to the convict and he was later provided the counsel by the government in the form of 'nyay mitra.'
