A 26-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by some persons over a land dispute in the Chhapar area here, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place in Tejalhera village Monday evening, they said.
The deceased was identified as Shiv Kumar alias Rinku, police said.
There was a dispute over some land between Ilem Singh, father of Shiv Kumar, and Naresh and a case in this regard was pending in a court, Circle Officer Kuldeep Singh said.
On Monday evening, Kumar was killed by Naresh's men over it, he added.
Security has tightened in the village to maintain law and order, police said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, they said.
