A man, who hurled ink at Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at a public event here, was remanded to one-day police custody by a local court today.
Praveen Sawant, a resident of Jakhod Khera village in Hisar district, was produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Nidhi Gupta.
The incident had created a commotion even as it revealed chinks in the politician's security.
Security personnel accompanying the chief minister grappled with Sawant as he shouted slogans and then handed him over to the local police.
Most of the ink fell on the security personnel but some landed on Khattar's clothes, face and hair.
The incident took place ahead of a roadshow by Khattar here last evening, part of a series of interactions with the public.
